I couldn’t stop listening to the book because I wanted to get to the pay off. ![]() ![]() She redefines it and breathes in new life. This is my second Mariana Zapata book and she kills me (in a good way) with her writing style and development of slow burn. Frankly, how ridiculous of a professional grown woman are you if you can’t even be around your hot jackass assistant coach without forcing yourself to think of poop? Moreover, the word, poop, is over used in this book this leads me to my next point that this novel sometimes got repetitive which isn’t fun for a long one.Īs a romance novel junkie, I appreciate a slow burn romance. Her immaturity dragged the story here and there. However, as the story went on, I found Sal to be too juvenile and this is coming from someone who is the exact same age as her. Thus, this year, I decided to give Kulti, one of her more highly rated books a try.Īt first, I liked our main character, Sal, because of her relatability and insecurities. ![]() That’s pretty solid for an adult romance novel in my book.
